The Benefits of Sex

Did you know that you can tell from the skin whether a person is sexually
active or not?

1. Sex is a beauty treatment. Scientific tests find that when woman make
love they produce amounts of the hormone estrogen, which make hair
shiny and skin smooth.

2. Gentle, relaxed lovemaking reduces your chances of suffering dermatitis,
skin rashes and blemishes. The sweat produced cleanses the pores and
makes your skin glow.

3. Lovemaking can burn up those calories you piled on during that romantic
dinner.

4. Sex is one of the safest sports you can take up. It stretches and tones
up just about every muscle in the body. It's more enjoyable than swimming
20 laps, and you don't need special sneakers!

5. Sex is an instant cure for mild depression. It releases the chemical
endorphin into the bloodstream, producing a sense of euphoria and leaving
you with a feeling of well-being.

6. The more sex you have, the more you will be offered. The sexually
active body gives off greater quantities of chemicals called pheromones.
These subtle sex perfumes drive the opposite sex crazy!

7. Sex is the safest tranquilizer in the world. IT IS 10 TIMES MORE
EFFECTIVE THAN VALIUM.

8. Kissing each day will keep the dentist away. Kissing encourages
saliva to wash food from the teeth and lowers the level of the acid that
causes
decay, preventing plaque build-up.

9. Sex actually relieves headaches. A lovemaking session can release
the tension that restricts blood vessels in the brain.

10. A lot of lovemaking can unblock a stuffy nose. Sex is a natural
antihistamine. It can help combat asthma and hay fever.

Now its time for everyone to do God's work and spread the legs.... errr the word I mean.... A little sex wont hurt anyone as what Russell Brand has said... so its true sex helps you more ways than one... But still practice it safely....

But if there are any woman that is in doubt of the facts stated, allow me to demonstrate with the help of the person in question of course...........

Heard and Read Somewhere

Have you guys ever encountered quotes or saying that was so funny or stupid that you tend to absorb it and use it once in a while... here are some of them:

Heard during a basketball game wherein the coach of the team which is trailing by so many points is trying to motivate his team during a huddle:

" Remember guys, Basketball is a team sport.... it was invented by James Naismith in Springfield Mass." ( whats the motivation there, obviously the coach ran out of encouraging words)

How about the fun line from the Little Rascal Movie:

Old Man: If I were your parents, I'd punish you!
Kids: If you were my parent, I'd punish myself!

I guess I forgot the rest.......

Rolling with the Punches

And finally Im back again after several weeks of doing stuffs that are no way related to blogging. And what have Ive observing lately, for me, is just crazy funny.

There were days IM so pre-occupied by some not so-senseless thoughts like images of politicians in every government funded projects.. My take is they should not place their names or pictures there, no need to glorify them that they came up with the idea for the road pavement the new pedestrian bridge... Thats their job, thats why they were seated in office for them to do that. I wouldnt even mind if they actually did the whole construction of the project, then they can proudly say that it was their project.

I also came to think that I might try stand up comedy... I might video myself and post in on youtube.com. I do have the comic material already, but Im not quite sure if I'll be doing it in filipino or in english. People that knew me well, might agree, and hopefully they would, that Im in a funny person. That part is left for the people who would be watching me soon.

Now during my free time Im in a way busy with giving out advice to people I know and also strangers.. I think Im effective with the advice thing because some of them are still coming back for more....

I just hate it when you think of something, specifically a great idea while you are on the road traveling, and by the time you reach your destination you completely forget about it.

Now I dont know why I placed the title Rolling with the punches, coz on my way to work I already had the idea.....

Whats in A Name???

While a was busy glancing the ever nostalgic Roxas Boulevard on my way to work..... a thought hit me... literally..... a gust of wind came in and made the ID of driver hit me on the head.... saw his name,,, was it an epiphany??? I dont know, but in a way it hurts... what does it got to do with the blog I am writing........ NONE... just like the dramatic effect..... seriously before I was bothered by the silly ID, I was already thinking whats in a name... how come some names are famous... and why are some great endorsers....

I was already thinking about this years back... like in my case, I kinda regret my parents for giving me such a lame name... that is why I am using Jake..... it has more of the catchy feel, dont you think??

Lets take the case of Michael Jordan, the sheer mentioning of the name already gives you visions of greatness.... what if some signs of stupidity of his parents, they suddenly name him Gusting or Gorgonio.... it wont sound right... same with his last name.... Jordan..... what if his last name was different like ahhh , Bagonggahasa... Air Bagonggahasa would not sound right....... Its just some names are bound or assciated with greatness..... like Tiger Woods, Einstein, David Blaine... the recall and association factor is just great.....

Perhaps that is also the reason why some great people in the past and present changed their name.... here are some of the samples....:

Real Name Famous Name
  1. Eric Weisz ( his name did a disappearing act) --- Harry Houdini
  2. Samuel Langhorne Clemens( keeping it simple)---- Mark Twain
  3. Cordozer Broadus (the is not going to shizzle my dizzle) ---Snoop Dogg
  4. Thomas Mapother IV (who would fall crazy for such a name) ------ Tom Cruise
  5. Demetria Guynes (Ashton must have been Punk'd) --- Demi Moore
  6. Steveland Morris ( I guess his parents were also blind in choosing names) ---- Stevie Wonder
  7. Jon Francis Bongiovi Jr. (surely he was living on prayer when growing up) ---- Jon Bon Jovi
  8. Kenny Gorelick ( last name is not really romantic) ----- Kenny G.
And the list would definitely go on... but what I am saying here is that names does make a huge difference...

I also read on article years back that we Filipinos has a knack for word play in names... like we are found of using Baby as a name for a kid.. its cute when you are young but what if your 80 years old.. will be called Lola Baby???? Thats wrong...

or putting an H or extra consonant or vowel to make it cute... believe me.. its not cute, its on its way to crossing the irritating level.

So for those who are planning to name their kids real soon.. think about it, make sure your kid's name a a ring of famous into it.... But not to the point that you would name your kid, Lebron James Santos, or Chris Paul Soriano, or Baby James Yapati..... or Miley Cyrus Baguio ( two famous names, hahahaha)

Think first, so that no regrets later.....

Oil Prices are Up, what else'e new??

Its been going now for a while, the prices of oil continues to soar up, and particularly here in the Philippines its going to be chaos sooner or later. I'm no economist or a political science expert, but it really quite obvious that the government is not doing a good job. Arrest me guys if you want but that real story here, the current government system sucks bigtime, not only with the oil crisis but with the other stuffs as well.... here's a common man's observation.

1. Manny Pacquiao donating 3 million for the victims of Frank - I know this is a good and valiant thing, but where the hell was our president, she was in the US doing stuffs that for all I know only few would benefit from.... For those who watch the recent boxing fights and interviews of Pacquiao, when he mentioned he was donating some of his winnings, none of the stupid ass politician even volunteered giving out a share of their winnings( calling Chavit Singson and Lito Atienza)... it really sucks knowing the people appointed in office first look after themselves and last their people they swore to serve. Just a million of each from, the politician will be a great help... spare some cash and help for those who need it not your mistresses.

2. Sulpicio, filing a restraining order against the probing body: Now what would be the right of a shipping company to file suspension or setting aside the probe made against them.. It is clear they made a lame ass decision to let their ship sail, no need to blame the coast guard, the weather station.... What happen was this.... you guys were after your profit, placing cargoes in passenger vessels is not the right things.. whether it has no contaminating content.... I would hypothesize that the shipping company would be paying penalties if the shipments have not been delivered on time...thus telling the ship captain to go on sailing over rough waters... what a sad thought.

3. For the so called Fil-chinese dude, who keep on asking for change - If you want change stop writing letters or emails... just do it... Your just lucky... not all people who wants change can easily go to the US if they fail with their dreams... If you really love your place and wants it to make it a better place... sacrifice big time and dont gripe about it... stop mentioning your accomplishment and let others do that for you...

4. Oil Crisis - we have this and the government does little about it... First, do away with the Value Added Tax... by doing that you would lessen a little of the cost of Petroleum.... Second.. regulate the prices... it has been done before and can be done again.,,, Third.. Stop giving out financial subsidy to the poor, you are just making them weak and helpless.. what you giys are doing isnt helping you are just digging a deeper grave. Fourth stop approving fare increases so eaily and taking forever to approve the wage... what's your worry there your friends in the business sector may not back you up later....

5. Rice - We have the shortage?? yes or no? if yes do the job in providing more resources for the rice if no.. simply stop hording and bringing in the scare... no time for the so called panic button...

If this would be the scenario for a longer period, I might as well pray for the predicted July 18, 2008 earthquake...there might a chance that some of the rotten people here in the Philippines gets to be eaten by the earth when it opens up....

Lebron, Moving Cities

You've read it right... Lebron James has his eyes set on moving to another NBA City by 2010....

And it is the city that never sleep, at the top of the world...NEW YORK.
The Basketball phenom was not shy stating that he is willing to back up for his guys in New York.. who's that guy.. its Jay-Z.. part owner of the New Jersey Nets....

Words have it that Jay-Z is planning on moving the Nets to Brooklyn... and so follows Lebron James....

Signs of time should be an early tip to the Cavs owner, they should be very weary.. I mean concerned.... why would Lebron allow NIKE to come up with a shoe design like the one here...It is really such a spoiler.

So all of us will just have to wait and see in 2010 if Lebron will be wearing a 23 in Brooklyn, New York....

Rudy Fernandez to Play in the NBA, Wow

Trail Blazers sign international star Rudy Fernandez

Spanish guard acquired by Portland in a 2007 Draft Day trade.

The Portland Trail Blazers reached an agreement to sign Spanish guard Rudy Fernandez, it was announced today by general manager Kevin Pritchard.

“I am so excited about joining the Trail Blazers and the NBA,” said Fernandez. “The whole staff did a tremendous job making me feel like a very important team member to them and made me forget about the economic issues because of the rookie scale.

“My dream has been to play in the NBA and Portland is giving me this opportunity. I was amazed about everything that Mr. Allen, Kevin Pritchard, Coach McMillan and the rest of the guys did to show me how much they wanted me. Brandon Roy, Greg Oden, LaMarcus Aldridge, I can't wait to play with them. We will do nice things!”

All the while I thought Philippine movie star is dead... hahahahaha its a joke... get over it....

The USA Basketball Team

Presenting the USA Basketball team headed for the Beijing Olympics..... The say their mission there is Redemption.. goodluck and put on a good show, just like the good old days... It will be tough.... very very tough....

WANTED...... Im Sorry.....

Last night I had the chance to watch the movie WANTED, and it was worth the time!!! Why??? 'coz Angelina Jolie Rocks!!!!! I dont know what with Girls with guns, but Angelina Jolie I guess would be the largest female action star....

Now for the story, this is not for those who are into logic and reality.... The Mythbusters have their hands full in proving every unbelievable stunts and scenes made in this movie... If I were them I'd leave it as such... UNBELIEVABLE.. .... Want an example how about curving the bullet or may be another one.. a machine that not only makes textile but tells who is next to die......

The slow motion sequence, the gun fights, the rats with bombs... there is no dull moment here, its really action packed.... Its a must see films for guys, it has all the elements of a guy film..... girls, cars, fights, explosions.. and Angelina Jolie (ohhhh I envy you Brad Pitt)...

As for James McAvoy, your one lucky prick getting the chance to smooch the girl....

For some they would say the movie is the new Matrix..... less the plugs on the head.....

The movie really is about getting your life back and you being in command.... The plot is really for those tear jerker film but they really made an interesting way to send their message across.
One line did stick to me... What the fuck have you done lately???

Your the Man Jesus!!

Here's an old joke, I never get tired telling....

Jesus and Satan were having an on-going argument about who was better on the computer.

They had been going at it for days, and frankly God was tired of hearing all the bickering.

Finally fed up, God said, "THAT'S IT! I have had enough. I am going to set up a test that will run for two hours, and from those results, I will judge who does the better job."

So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.

They moused.

They faxed.

They e-mailed.

They e-mailed with attachments.

They downloaded.

They did spreadsheets!

They wrote reports.

They created labels and cards.

They created charts and graphs.

They did some genealogy reports.

They did every job known to man.

Jesus worked with heavenly efficiency and Satan was faster than hell.

Then, ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, rain poured, and, of course, the power went off...

Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in the underworld.

Jesus just sighed.

Finally the electricity came back on, and each of them restarted their computers.

Satan started searching frantically, screaming:

"It's gone! It's all GONE! I lost everything when the power went out!"

Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past two hours of work...

Satan observed this and became irate.

"Wait!" he screamed.

"That's not fair! He cheated! How come he has all his work and I don't have any?"

God just shrugged and said, JESUS SAVES...

Shag Disses Kobe.. True dat, True dat

Call Center Life

Now, how am I gonna start this..... I know we will go back way way back in my life ala Guy Ritchie film (flashback, flashback) for the kids born in the late 70's or in college during the early 90's its a flash back style of Wayne's World (turururot, turururot, turururot) with matching waving of arms and hands.

circa 2002: Me: I ain't gonna work in a call center company........ Period.

Now back to reality...... guess what??!?!?! Im workig in a call center...need not mention the name , its not famous.....

Now for the things I hate working in a BPO company.

1. The elevator. Can stand the long lines going to the elevator, the wasted minutes waiting for a silly ride.. Now here's the best part.. having to stand for like eternity with agents griping about their work... A word of advice if your not happy with your job quit!

2. The food. Before I love the silog foods.. tapsi, longsi, bangsi... now just the idea of eating one makes me want to go on a diet... same goes for the burgers.... Even if you would notice one thing new from me..... Sorry... "di ako mag papa-cheese burger.

3. The get-ups. A question to all call center people... do your clients get to see you????? If NO.. why the hell dress up like you guys are going to party.... Wearing those silly Muslim/Arabic style scarf around your eck, as if you know what arabic country each color represent (hint.. read about Rachel Ray's Dunkin Donut commercial) Just plain clothes will do guys.... your boss is no fashion critic.

4. Coffee. Im not a coffee lover so dont make join the bandwagon like its a f*&@ing religion...... Tea please.........

5. Drinking Sessions...Now Imagine this.... your drunk as early as 8am.... reminds you of the "siga" in your place........ Its just not right, you piss drunk, trying to walk straight, smelling like you took a beer bath... thats just wrong.

The good thing about call center...... its a decent job... just take away the circus and I'll just be fine....

And as for you.... "City and State please,.... I really have to put you on hold, " nyeta ka!

Additional info... I work i a call center.... I never mentioned Im a call center agent... Just making things clear....

Predictions and Opinions

I'll try my hand in predicting sports and others stuffs
people like to argue about...

Let me see.

1. Manny vs David
I'll give my nod to Manny Pacquiao on this fight, not because his Pinoy but because of History, the only Diaz that I knew who won is Gloria Diaz.. and she is not even Boxing..... How about Paquito and Romy? Yes they get to beat up the protagonist but would still end up losing at the end of the film, .... Seriously know... Diaz never fought convincingly.. he has the belt but he never knockdow someone with the caliber of Pacquiao... only one caution to Pacquiao... avoid distractions...

2. Presidents
I think Obama would win.. if all the black people would vote... they should stop whining and wailing and put their dreams on paper.... Mccain is too old to run for office, he should just walk or take a cab to office... The deciding factor here... the guy who would put a stop to the war will win.....

3. Celtics
Have fun till it lasts guys.... your just going to be the next Miami Heat, your fairy tale story is over.

4. Kobe.... Stop hitting your teammates and blaming them if you guys are losing, Admit it Black Mamba.. you have the Scottie Pippen Sydrome.. your no good unless you are with someone greater than you.....

What Kind of Father am I???

The title is just fitting since it was just father's day yesterday....I asked this silly question to myself.... Because of the following scenario... Please bear with me....

First, I missed my youngest kid's first day of school.. Now here I am very much uneasy, while my wife is texting me of the antics of my youngest in his first day of nursery, so much for the master card and Kodak Moments. Boo-hoo...

Second, Im not good with discipline, yes some would say my work has something to do do with discipline and order, well let's just say Im not the practice what you preach type of guy........ Im much rowdier than my kids when at home... Im always the trailblazer in messing up the house, I hate being beaten by my kids in silly games in playstation.. A bad case of Peter Pan Syndrome....

Third, I dont know where Im going, its the fear I think every parent fear.. like at night you would blankly stare your ceiling, or you facing the wall or you staring at the faucet while taking a crap... thinking real hard if you could provide the best for kids and not sure of your answers,... I guess like is really unfair, Its how we make the most out of it.....

Fourth, who would admire a father who's , motto in life is "di baleng tamad, wag lang pagod"........

Return of the Comebacks

After several months of being away from each other, finally some of the guys decided to go back to the Philippines for some vacation. When I first so them , it was like it was just yesterday, we tried our best to catch up on things and plan the other things ahead.. We've gained weight, but who cares?!?! right Pert???..
